The Spring/Summer edition features farmers in Southwest Georgia and the story of Johnson’s Crook. Southwest Georgia is a rich farmland area that grows everything from peanuts to carrots to cows, and farmers there are realizing the value of preserving their livelihood and their  land through conservation easements.

The “Crook,”  located in Northwest Georgia, is unique habitat area filled with caves and rare plants. A housing developer lost the property to foreclosure and now the Georgia Land Trust is trying to save the area from further development.Also, hear how 2013 could be the year of the quarter millionth acre protected by the Land Trusts.
